If any of these categories are missing you want to go back and edit and proof your document. 

Therefore, it is worth your while to double-check this list against your final draft before submitting it for a grade.


1.    Your full name on document.

2.    Date of submissions.

3.    Name of play or performance being analyzed.

4.    Name of the type of analysis: Analytic, Performance or Metacritique.

5.    Third person writing when designated.

6.    Proofed for correct spelling, grammar, and syntax.

7.    Paragraph order in format.

8.    Flow of thoughts.

9.    Transitions from paragraph to paragraph.

10.  Overall polish.

11.  Citing (MLA, APA, CMS, etc.) style sheet format correctly. Be sure to follow with care. Single or double spaced-based on Professorial discretion.
Consult course syllabus for the particular style sheet to use.


12.  Style Sheet (References / Work(s) Cited / Bibliography) correctly organized.

13.  Pagination (Upper right hand corner).

14.  No plagiarism.

15.  At least five sentences in every paragraph. No more than 15 sentences.

16.  No contractions- anywhere!

17.  Titles correctly spelled, punctuation and italicized. See templates provided.

18.  Accuracy: Correct usage of titles, actors’ names, characters’ names, playwright/screenwriter, locations, scenes, settings, time and place of play or film.

19.  Submitted on time and in format.

20.  Quality of preparation demonstrated in final submission.
